Prime Big Deal Days 2026: Baby Gear Prices to Know Before October 6–7

Amazon's fall sale for Prime members, Prime Big Deal Days, runs October 6–7, 2026. According to Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days FAQ, it "starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7," and "you'll need a Prime membership to access Prime Big Deal Days deals." Amazon's announcement of the October 6–7 dates describes 48 hours of deals across more than 35 categories.

Key point: Amazon does not publish what will be discounted in advance, and neither do we. What we can give you is the price to beat: the regular price and the current price of every product we recommend, checked on September 27, 2026.

How we built this: we read the current offer for each product in our guides through Amazon's product data on September 27, 2026, and kept only listings that were in stock and sold by Amazon.com or the brand's own store. "Regular price" is the list price Amazon shows for the listing, or the current price when no list price is shown. We have not tested these products; each links to the guide that explains why it was picked.

• Compare to the regular price above, not only to the "was" price on the listing on sale day.
• Check the price history. Amazon's FAQ says the "Price History" link on a product page shows "up to 365 days" of pricing, so you can see whether today's price is actually low.
• Match the exact listing. Strollers and car seats come in several colors and bundles, and prices can differ by color. The UPPAbaby Vista V3 price above is for one color; other colors listed higher when we checked.

Pro tip: add the products you are watching to a list before October 6. Amazon's FAQ suggests saving items to a Wish List to spot price drops when the event starts.

What to Check Before You Buy on Sale

A lower price does not change what makes baby gear safe to use. Run through this before you check out:

• The seller. Buy from Amazon.com or the brand's own store, which is who sells every product in the tables above. A reseller's listing of the same product can be older stock or missing parts, and you cannot always tell from the photos.
• Recalls. Search the brand and product in our baby product recall checker, which lists every CPSC baby gear recall since 2023. Car seat recalls come from NHTSA instead.
• Registration. Keep the registration card. CPSC's page on durable infant or toddler products says product registration forms are required for these products so the maker can "contact consumers with recall or other safety information." For car seats, the AAP's car seat guide for families says to fill out and mail in the card or register the seat on the manufacturer's website.
• Car seats: the date of manufacture. Useful life counts from the date the seat was made, not the day you buy it. Graco, for example, lists 7 years for its infant seats from the date of manufacture on its help center page on car seat useful life. A seat that has sat in a warehouse has already used some of that time; check the label on the seat. Our car seat expiration dates by brand covers 12 makers.
• No used car seats of unknown history. The AAP says to "avoid used car seats if you don't know the seat's history," and not to use one that has been in a moderate or severe crash, is too old, or is missing its date label or parts.
• Returns. Amazon lists returns of up to 365 days on eligible gifts bought from an Amazon baby registry; see our Amazon vs Target vs Babylist comparison for the other two. Check the return window on the product page for anything you buy for yourself.
• Registry completion discounts. All three big registries offer 15% off at the end, with different caps. The registry pages we read, including Amazon's baby registry page, do not say how that discount combines with sale prices, so check the terms at checkout before you count on both.

Worth Waiting For, or Buy Now?

We have no advance list of what will be discounted, and we do not guess sale prices. What we can say is which purchases are safe to put off and which are not:

• Worth watching: the big-ticket items in the tables, such as strollers, bassinets and play yards, and car seats. They cost the most, you usually buy one, and the regular prices above give you a number to compare against.
• Don't wait: anything you need before the due date, such as an infant car seat for the ride home and a safe place to sleep, plus consumables like diapers and wipes that you will buy every week regardless.
• Either way: a sale is only a deal against the regular price. If a listing shows a higher "was" price than the regular price in our tables, compare against ours.

Bottom line: know the regular price before October 6, buy from Amazon.com or the brand, and treat car seats and sleep products as safety purchases first and deals second. If nothing you need is discounted, Black Friday is the next big sale.
